Jeremy Lin Faith Joy and Basketball edition by Ted Kluck Religion Spirituality eBooks

Currently there is only ONE Asian-American playing in the NBA, and the last Harvard graduate to play in the NBA was in the 1950's. So Jeremy Lin stands out as a rarity among NBA players just by looking at him. But what has made him an American household name? What has caused him to be compared to Tim Tebow?

In this very short (approx 100 kindle "pages") we learn what all the "Linsanity" is about. I had heard of him as I walked through the living room while my husband watches the news, but I didn't know much about him. In this very current book, I learned a little more about the miracle causing this player to leap to the forefront, and the reason he stays grounded in Christ.

Jeremy Lin Faith Joy and Basketball edition by Ted Kluck Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

This book was not worth the time to read. Did not get in-depth about Jeremy Lin at all. I think it was just quickly written to make some money.
Amazing u should get it if u love basketball
I loved it u should love it too enjoy the book
Inspiring story
While the information shared about Lin was quite interesting, you can tell that it was a bit rushed during the height if Lin madness.
For the most part I enjoyed what was there....there just wasn't much to it. It was done in a hurry, admittedly by the author. As the publishers must think Jeremy's career will be short, perhaps. I appreciated the references to his faith but it was not necessary to build him up by tearing down another famous pro ball player due to his faith. I don't think Jeremy will appreciate those references any more than I did. They are two different men, with two different lives, comparing the two just because they share the same faith is still like apples to oranges. What they have in common is their assurance of their eternal future and Who they give credit to for all their successes. This book, especially as short as it was, should have been only about Jeremy, his past, present and future, who he is as a man and his message to others. I wish him the best.
This was just a short overview of Jeremy Lin. Written very well and I thought told the differences between how we treat athletes when it comes to their faith and professional life's.

The writer compares Jeremy with Tim Tebow and why what they do is so different and I thought he did it well.

I did get the book because I like to read about anyone in the public life who does show his Faith and isn't ashamed to do that, and yes I did know who he was and have seen him play basketball.
Want to know Lin's favorite Bible verses? Romans 53-5

Let me be honest from the get go. I am not a sports fan at all so writing this review based on the book, presuming all is true and not from my own knowledge of Jeremy Lin or the author!

Lin is the first Asian American to play in the NBA. He is also a Harvard graduate who chooses to pursue basketball which on paper would seem to be the least sensible idea! This book was written very early in his career so a lot of surmising about what was going to be coming next.

Lin said that racial comments give him a chance to be salt and light, an opportunity to reflect the grace to God. What makes Lin different is his ability to admit sin in his heart. Many professional sport players do not do that. Lin admits being the worst of sinners like Paul but is also in a right relationship with Jesus Christ.

In one chapter, the author talks quite a lot about Tebow which seems a little strange. In some ways Tebow and Lin are very different but what they do have in common is a great work ethic. Lin is playing for God, giving his best effort.

The author does admit feeling the pressure when writing this book. He asks God to enable to him to write a Jeremy Lin book that "does right by the gospel first and then does right by Jeremy Lin."

Jeremy Lin is quoted as saying "When you are called to be a Christian, you are automatically called to be different from everyone else."
